KNX 10A Multifunction Actuator

10A Series Multifunction Actuator

The 10A Series Multifunction Actuator is a modular installation device and a multi-channel output module, integrating various output functions. It connects to the EIB/KNX system via an EIB bus terminal and uses the Engineering Design Tool Software (ETS software, version ETS4.0 or above) for physical address assignment and parameter setting.

The maximum load current output of the multifunction actuator is 10A, with one relay representing one output channel and a total of 4 / 6 / 8 / 12 / 20 / 24 output channels. Certain functions may require multiple outputs, such as an AC curtain output which needs two relay outputs: one relay for forward control and one for reverse control. A standard switch output requires only one relay output. Therefore, in engineering applications, select products based on actual needs.

Each circuit of the multifunction actuator can independently control the switch of a 2000W lamp, applicable only to resistive load lamps. For actual use, driving resistive loads at 80% of the power rating is more appropriate. For inductive and capacitive loads, especially when multiple lamps are connected in parallel, the load capacity will decrease. Although the power remains unchanged, the instantaneous inrush current will increase, potentially causing the relay contacts to melt. Therefore, for inductive and capacitive loads, it is generally advisable to use 1/5 or 1/6 of the maximum current, and for some poor-quality LED lamp loads, using 1/8 of the maximum current is advisable.

The multifunction actuator comes with manual control buttons, with LEDs indicating the switch status of each circuit, making it convenient for engineering debugging. Additionally, it features four dry contact input interfaces, with a dry contact (I/O) communication distance of less than 10 meters.
